#365 National Poetry Month – 30 Days 30 Poems

The river raged with souls untamed
Of those who never had a name,
They must go where the water takes them
Hoping home will come again.

Take them to an unknown place
Where everyone has a face,
And speaking truth is met with grace
To get there we must stop this chase.

Now the raging river has calmed
To let us through the great beyond,
Please wait for me if you get there first
Iā€™m drowning yet I feel such thirst.

Against the river we all must go
Fear not the dangers of below
It is safer than you know.
