#110 Tales from the Defrag
Frannie leaned back in her chair and smiled as she watched the series of zeros and ones scroll across her computer screen. She had spent the last 48 hours working without sleep to crack the code.
She picked up her cellphone and hit the dial button. It was answered before the first ring.
“Well?” She said, waiting for an answer.
“Your reputation precedes you, kid.”
“Yeah. Yeah. I know. Cut the bullshit. My money?”
“Sent.” They hung up without another word. She opened her bank app and saw a new deposit of five million dollars. Then her computer screen froze.
