#199 The Xen’in Universe

“Where are we?” he asked, peering through a thick fog, trying to see something in the distance. “Did it work?”

She had not spoken a word since they landed. It was his invention but her idea to go back. She needed to at least try and change what happened. For both of their sakes.

“Yes,” she whispered to herself as the lights of the harbor came into view. She could hear the familiar bell of a ship coming in. The smell of the sea filled her with joy. “We did it, Jacob. We’re home. And this time we’ll find it.”
