“I’m not sure when it started, exactly.”
Shirley sucked her teeth. “Yeah, right. The day you don’t know when something started is the day we’re all out of the game. You just don’t wanna own up to what you’ve been up to.”
The other ladies sitting at the booth nodded amongst themselves. They agreed this couldn’t go on any longer.
“You never liked me, Shirley. Admit it. That’s why you called this meeting. You’re jealous that I’m better at this game than you ever were.”
“You’re a cheater and you know it. You’ve been cheating ever since you joined us.”
