Some books should never be opened. Especially, the ones that contain secrets. They can open a door to a new world or trap you inside another.
When she saw the book, once locked away, opened to a random page, she knew her life was in danger. She looked over at the chapter it fell open on: It Walks at Night.
She didn’t need to read any further to know the kind of trouble she was in. With little time to lose she started to retrace her step back outside. But before she could reach the exit a growl stopped her.
