#197 Queen of Quills

The cave was dark and musty, as if time and air had stood still far from the world of human influence. It was a cave believed to contain the bones of a dragon. But not just any dragon, the mother of them all.

Not wanting her babies to live a life of service to man, she laid her body down on her last eggs, praying they would never hatched.

The expedition followed the map and entered the cave, expecting to find her bones. Instead, they encountered her flesh and bone, breathing. Sleeping.

She lived to protect them. Her eyes opened.
